Churches often invest in pastors, conferences, and equipment—but rarely in the volunteers who faithfully lead worship every week. My heart is that worship pastors and churches would proactively steward and invest in their volunteers. One meaningful way to do that is through personalized worship coaching that equips volunteers to grow in both their musical abilities and their confidence as they serve. Investing in your volunteers isn't just about creating better musicians—it's about developing faithful servants who can strengthen your worship ministry for years to come.
As your team grows, the impact extends far beyond individual musicians. Volunteers arrive better prepared, rehearsals become more productive, communication improves, and newer team members gain confidence more quickly. This allows worship leaders to spend less time teaching basic musical concepts and more time cultivating the vision, unity, and spiritual health of the team. My goal is to come alongside your leadership by encouraging, equipping, and investing in the people who make your worship ministry possible.
so what does worship coaching actually look like?

I sit down with your keyboardist and walk through their actual setup — patch building on a Nord, running click and tracks, layering sounds, and playing parts that serve the song instead of competing with it.

I coach guitarists through the practical skills they'll actually use on Sunday mornings—building strong acoustic guitar technique, understanding lead vs. rhythm guitar, creating tasteful parts, dialing in great tones with the modelers, pedalbaords and amps, and learning how to play for the room instead of playing to fill space.

I help bass players develop strong timing, groove, and musical awareness so they can confidently lock in with the drummer and provide a solid foundation for the band. Coaching focuses on playing with purpose, supporting the arrangement, and knowing when less is more.

I can train your sound team on mixing a live band in your actual sanctuary — gain structure, EQ, monitor mixes, and how to serve the room. No generic curriculum, just real training on your real system.

Strong worship teams are built by strong leaders. I work alongside your music director to strengthen both their musical and leadership skills—from planning rehearsals and organizing set lists to communicating effectively with volunteers, developing arrangements, and leading a team with confidence, humility, and excellence.

DO YOU ONLY TEACH MUSIC
Not at all. I find that it is only one small part of it. There is a lot of focus on preparation, confidence, teamwork, serving the song, effective practice habits, and understanding the heart of worship.

DO WE NEED THIS IF WE HAVE A WORSHIP PASTOR?
This isn't a replacement for your worship pastor—it's support for your worship pastor. Worship pastors juggle countless responsibilities each week, leaving little time for one-on-one coaching with every volunteer. My role is to come alongside your leadership by helping your musicians grow in skill, confidence, and consistency.
DOES COACHING HAPPEN ONLINE OR IN PERSON?
Coaching is available both online and in person. Online sessions make it possible to work with churches and individuals anywhere while still providing personalized, one-on-one instruction.
IS THIS ONLY FOR BIG CHURCHES?
Not at all. Some of the greatest impact happens in smaller churches where volunteers often wear multiple hats and have fewer opportunities for individualized coaching.

YouTube is a great resource, but it can't tell you why you're struggling. Personalized coaching provides feedback, accountability, and practical guidance that's tailored to your church, your role, and your goals.
